Well, I decided to give this blog thing a try. I don't know how often we'll actually update it, but we figured we'd give it a shot!
This past weekend, we went to Lake Nacimiento with our friends Amber, Mike and their daughters Hailey and Chelsea. They own a house up there as well as all the fun toys so it was a fun time for all of us! Hailey is 3 and her and Rylee really had a great time playing together. (Thank goodness!)
We started off the first day just cruising around out on the pontoon boat. This was the first time Rylee swam "by herself" out in the water. She's taking swimming lessons but the lake can be a scary thing. Once she realized the jacket won't let her "sink" she had a blast swimming around.
On our way back home, Rylee was able to try out the water ski that Amber and Mike have for Hailey. Rylee isn't one to try new things, so I was totally shocked when she said she was willing to try it out. Low and behold, she got up on her first attempt. I was such a proud Mom not only for her willing to try but for doing it so well. (She even fixed her bathing suit strap while she was skiing!)
The next day we took the pontoon out and day camped. It sure was hot but thanks to the EZups, we enjoyed the day. Overall, we had such a relaxing and fun time with our friends; having great conversations and finishing a 750 piece puzzle (thanks Amber!)
